Our Database
The Blackburn Family Association genealogical database is one of the largest family-focused databases in the world. The database concentrates on the descendants of John Blackburn of County Armagh, Ireland.
John was born c1675 and came to North America in 1736 with most of his children also having immigrated. The database now includes more than 215,000 identified and documented direct descendants of that immigrant.
Given the inter-connectedness of the early Quaker families who traveled from Ireland to North America, the database also includes a great deal of information on the descendants of the families who settled in Quaker Valley, an area north of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.
The growth and accuracy of the database has depended upon hundreds of genealogists and family members who have done their part to make sure their line of the tree is current. Have you done your part?
