This site is maintained by the descendants of those troopers who served in the 11th PA Cav during the Civil War. The purpose of this site is to honor those who sacrificed much and in many cases all, so that the Union might live.

The 11th PA Cav was similar to most units that fought for the Union in the Civil War. They did their job. They fought and they died. They attacked and they skedaddled. They had their good days and their bad days. One trooper even earned the Medal of Honor. You are invited to explore this site and see what life as a Union cavalryman was like in tidewater Virginia from 1861 to 1865.
