From: Elliott Burka Dear Sir: Quite a number of years ago, I purchased a Union cavalry field manual that belonged to a Lt. Neillson, Co. C, 11th Pa Cav. He was killed on Aug. 25th, 1864. The next entry in the manual is the name of James Landing Aug. 26th, 1864, Co. C, 11th Pa. Cav. There is another name written in this book. Sergt. McNeil, Co. C, 11th Pa. Cav. and “Serg. Mc Neil, his book”. The manual has a large blood stain on it. Can you give me any information in regard to these people? Very truly yours, Elliott L. Burka |
